born in Carinthia, graduated from the Kärntner Landeskonservatorium under Prof. Gustav Mayer and continued his studies at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik in Colon under Prof. Igor Ozim and chamber music under Prof. Guenther Kehr. After finishing his studies he became assistant to Prof. Igor Ozim in the same school where he stayed for eleven years. Since 1989 he is leading the international class for violin at the Kärntner Landeskonservatorium. Along with his teaching, he is very active as soloist and chamber musician in many countries of Europe. He also leads Master classes all over Europe and is often member of jury at International competitions.
