Tomaž Habe, slovene composer, conductor, violinist and pedagogue.
His opus comprises over 350 works. He wrote for all domains of both absolute and programmatic music, as well as light music. His chamber works were performed and received acknowledgements at home (Musica Danubiana, Kogojevi dnevi – Kogoj's Days,Noč slovenskih skladateljev – Night of Slovene composers, Julij na obali – July on the Coast) and abroad (Paris, Barcelona,Vienna, Salzburg). As the composer feels closely linked to the sensitivity and the nature of the Slovene people, his traditional compositions show the lyricism of Slovene melodism in a lucid and clearly arranged way, in spite of contemporary elements and the contrapuntal treatment of music.
