Born in 1965 in Železna Kapla. He studied voice and jazz piano at the Klagenfurt Conservatory (Austria) and singing at the Institute for Jazz Research at the University of Music And Dramatic Arts Graz (Jay Clayton, USA). At the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna he studied voice, song and oratory with Professor Ksgr. Kurt Equiluz. He graduated in 1996.
Since 1993 he has been performing as baritone in Austria, Slovenia, Italy and the Czech Republic. He lives in Klagenfurt as an independent musician. Since 2001 he has been teaching voice at the Klagenfurt Conservatory of Music.
He has worked as a composer and arranger of scene music in almost all Slovene theatres: the Slovene Professional Theatre in Trieste (1993) - H. He also writes music for the radio, film and television, musicals for children and adults: Juri Muri v Afriki T. Pavček (1991), Pokojna gospejina mama (Madam’s Late Mother) G. Feydeau (1995), Jošt in Jaka by W. Busch and E. Fritz (1996) and Konferenca živali (The Animals' Conference ) by E. Kästner (1999); cabaret music: A more (1998), Malo čezz (2000) and Čisto čezz (2002) . He has participated in the recording of numerous compact disks as a singer and composer.
In 2004 Gabriel Lipuš received an award of Carinthia for the promotion of music (der Förderungspreis für Musik).
In 2003 as a creative supervisor of the Gabriel Music Theatre, he received an award from the city of Ljubljana, » Zlata paličica« (Golden Wand Award), at the 10th international festival for best presentation of »Prižgite luči«.
In the 2005 he was awarded for cross-border cultural work by the federal chancellery in Vienna.
