Melita Vovk- OŠ Gorje

Melita Vovk (1928 - 2020), academic painter and illustrator, is a leading figure in the Slovenian cultural scene.
She left an indelible mark in Slovenian culture with her creative oeuvre, which was often ahead of her time, socially
critical and humorous. Anarcho-liberal penetration of the mass media, a handy container for
storage for the post-revolutionary unconscious, a stress-reduction machine... to name just a few.
Title of the paintings from the series Birostroj, with which Melita Vovk addressed the current social reality in which
she lived and worked in. Despite the fact that the works were created in the 1980s, the images they carry
would still strike a chord with many people today.Prmož Poklukar has been teaching art at Gorje Primary School for more than
twenty years. Under his mentorship, young people know no limits in their
creativity.
